Dr. Ivan Saez Navarro

Surgeon and traumatologist.

Qualified in medicine and surgery from the University of Barcelona (Hospital Clínic campus) in 1998. He is student teacher in the Department of Morphological and Odontostomatology Sciences in the University of Barcelona’s faculty of medicine. He is student teacher at the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Service at the Clinical and Provincial Hospital of Barcelona (Hospital Clínic).

He currently works at Clínica Perramón.

Between 1993 and 1998 he was a lecturer in the department of Morphological and Odontostomatological Sciences in the University of Barcelona’s faculty of medicine.

In 2009 he was associate professor of human anatomy at Gimbernat College and since 2010 he has been a teaching consultant for Smith and Nephew Srl.

Since 1993 he has carried out research in the department of Morphological and Odontostomatological Sciences in the University of Barcelona’s Clinical Anatomy unit.

He has 6 published contributions to books, 7 articles in national and international publications, and has taken part in 2 specialised publications.

He has given 50 talks at international congresses, has taken part in 38 congresses and national courses, and has given 58 courses, events and seminars.

Awards and recognition:

• Spanish Society for Hand Surgery (S.E.C.M.A.) for the best scientific poster on: Anatomical-surgical study on approaching nerves
• Posterior and anterior interosseous from a single dorsal access.
• Spanish Association of Arthroscopy (A.E.A) award for the best oral paper on: Potentially injurable arteries during an ankle arthroscopy.
• Award for the best oral paper: Sáenz, I; Möller, I. Learning and research in Sonoanatomy.
