POSITIVE: Confirms the detection of the virus at the exact time of the test with the highest level of reliability. * In case of a positive result, contact your doctor immediately.
NEGATIVE: It does not always mean absence of the virus, since it depends on the viral load of the sample. * In case the result is negative, but presents symptoms, we recommend consulting your doctor.
Sampling: Nasopharyngeal exudate is a sample obtained from secretions from the upper part of the throat and back of the nose.
Delivery time: 24/48 hours.
2. Rapid antigens test
Type of results: It allows a rapid diagnosis of coronavirus infection to be given to patients with a high viral load. The use of this test is focused on the first days of infection and for symptomatic people.
POSITIVE: Confirms virus detection at the exact time of the test with the highest level of reliability. * In case of a positive result, contact your doctor immediately.
NEGATIVE: Confirm the no detection of the virus, because you are really negative or because you have a low viral load. * In the event that the result is negative, but symptoms are present, an RT-PCR test is recommended.
Sampling: Nasopharyngeal exudate is a sample obtained from secretions from the upper part of the throat and back of the nose.
Delivery time: 15 minutes.
3. Serological tests (Detection of antibodies)
3.1. IgM / IgG serology
Type of results: It allows studying the immune response against the virus.
Sample collection: Blood Collection.
Delivery time: 24/48 hours.
3.2. Rapid Serological Test
Type of results: These systems allow the qualitative detection of IgM / IgG COVID-19 antibodies separately, in an approximate time of 15 minutes.
* If the IgM result is positive (+), PCR confirmation is required.
* If the result is negative, but has symptoms, it is recommended to perform PCR.
